Ombre women's shorts are summer shorts, mostly high-waisted: paperbag-waist styles, wide striped shorts, linen, denim, satin and lace-trimmed shorts.
The cuts emphasise the waist – with a tie belt, a belt with loops, front pleats or an elasticated back. Linen-blend shorts (e.g. 40% viscose, 25% linen, 25% cotton) are light and breathable, while styles in 100% cotton denim are durable and relaxed, with turned-up hems. More evening-ready are satin shorts, with bows or floral embroidery.
The shorts come in sizes XS–XL depending on the style. Measure your waist at its narrowest point – that is where the waistband of high-waisted styles should sit – and your hips. We describe the length for every product: short, above the knee or wide-leg.
Combine high-waisted shorts with a cropped blouse or a tucked-in shirt. Linen and striped shorts go well with a light women's waistcoat or a blazer draped over the shoulders. You will find longer cuts in the same fabrics in the women's trousers category.
The colours are mainly beiges, ecru, white and black, plus blue. Wash linen and viscose shorts gently at a low temperature and iron them slightly damp, and denim ones inside out.
